UK tilers typically charge £35–£60 per square metre for walls and £40–£70 for floors, excluding materials. Large format and mosaic work cost more per metre.
Do bathrooms need tanking?
Shower enclosures and wet rooms should always be tanked. Elsewhere in a bathroom it isn't essential if the substrate is suitable and correctly sealed.
Can you tile over existing tiles?
Sometimes, if the originals are firmly bonded and flat, but it adds thickness and risk. Most tilers prefer to strip back and re-board.
